Zara Mini Kids Clothing

I'd never thought of Zara for kids clothes even though I absolutely love shopping there for myself! It was someone from work who mentioned they were in the other day getting something for their cousin's baby.

I had a quick browse online and even though there isn't much, there were some SUPER cute items.

Desert boots, £17.99. Leather fringe boots, £17.99. Cloud jumper and trouser set, £17.99. Hats, £7.99...

Pregnancy OOTD 23rd Feb

Shirt, Topshop (old). Vest, Mothercare. Leggings, Blossom Mother and Child. Necklace, New Look. Wedge boots, ASOS (old).

Off for brunch in West Hampstead with some friends 😊. Just wanted to be comfortable. My hair was not playing the game this morning so it just got French plaited and shoved up!

1st NHS Antenatal Class

I had my first NHS antenatal class on Thursday night and to be honest I was dreading it! The husband is away during the week at the moment as he's already down in Portsmouth having started his Officers course with the Royal Navy (I move down in 5 weeks when I go on maternity leave).

I thought I was going to have to go alone and that it would be an absolute nightmare getting home as I don't have the car. The journey is usually only 15-20 mins in the car but on public transport it can take up to an hour and isn't direct, which was spooking me a bit.

Luckily my friend from work who I'm really close to offered to come with me and then ended up getting her sister to come pick us up which couldn't have been better.

The class had about 10 couples in it. There was another girl, who was lovely and who was married but had a friend with her instead like me as her husband was away too. Another girl had her mum and dad with her and her boyfriend picked her up, which I thought was a bit odd!

The midwife running the class was lovely and really informal which was nice. She started off by making us introduce ourselves, say how far pregnant we were and what our name meant. Most people didn't know what their's meant but I knew mine meant princess and my friend knew hers meant female donkey haha good combo...

Pregnancy OOTD 21st Feb

Dress, ASOS Maternity. Belt, Sample Sale at work. Boots, Forever 21. Watch, Olivia Burton at The Dressing Room.

Managed to get this dress in the ASOS sale with an extra 15% off so it was a bargain. The other one I got didn't for right though so it'll have to go back unfortunately, boo!

I absolutely love my watch that I got as a Valentines/being brave in hospital present haha. The rose gold is beautiful and I think the watch looks more expensive than it actually is. It was definitely a lot cheaper than my Michael Kors! Just need a rose gold bracelet to go with it...

Bluebird Chelsea - Valentines Day Afternoon Tea Review

We had a lovely day out on Friday. I actually had Thursday and Friday off work but ended up being really ill with a cold the whole time and still have it now, typical! We thought afternoon tea was a good thing to do on Valentine's day because we didn't want to end up in a restaurant full of couples and heart shaped balloons haha.

Originally we wanted to go to One Aldwych for this afternoon tea:

But, unfortunately, because of the price and the times that were available we decided against it.

Instead we went to Bluebird in Chelsea where we've been to for a drink before but not for anything to eat.

The decor is really effective especially the lighting! It's a nice welcoming atmosphere with an edge of coolness about it as well...

Week 32 Pregnancy Update

How far along? 32 weeks

Maternity clothes? Just bought some things from newlook.com...oops! Sick of wearing the same things over and over again at the moment

Stretch marks? Still nope

Sleep: Has improved a little this week even though baby has become a bit more violent with the kicking

Best moment this week: Baby responding to me chatting away to them with lots of squirmy movements and kicks

Worst Moment This Week: Realising how little maternity pay I get!

Food cravings: Chocolate. Not like me at all. Total savoury kind of person usually

Miss anything? A flat tummy!

Movement: Lots

Anything making you queasy or sick: Not really

Gender: Secret :)

Labour signs: Nope

Symptoms: Lots of movement - becoming a lot stronger and quite sore now. Having really sore tightenings across tummy especially around my belly button. Shooting pains through bump and getting stitches quite often too

Belly button in or out? Still in

Happy or moody most of the time? Happy but uncomfortable

Looking forward to: Having more time to blog and sort things out for baby...i.e. when I go on maternity leave

Bump:

Apologies for rubbish photo, have to make do with mirror whilst husband is away!

Maternity Occasion Dresses (Baby Shower!)

I've been starting to look for a dress to wear for my baby shower in a few weeks and am having an absolute nightmare finding anything I like that's fashionable, at a reasonable price and available in my size. The fact that nearly every high street shop doesn't actually stock their full maternity range in store, so you can't try items on, doesn't help! So far I've seen these options...

The cute flower embellishment and cap sleeves on this dress are fab

This dress is quite a simple cut but I think it could be effective on the right figure...

Week 30 Pregnancy Update

How far along? 30 weeks

Maternity clothes? Nothing new this week but bought baby some bits and pieces so will do a seperate post on them! Just in my usual maternity jeans, leggings, dresses etc. Starting to get so bored of my wardrobe though, so limited these days

Stretch marks? Still no, starting to get more vigourous with checking now though!

Sleep: Really bad again now. I'm so uncomfortable and seem to be constantly needing to get up and pee even if I watch what I drink before bed

Best moment this week: Looking up ideas for baby shower to help my besties plan

Worst Moment This Week: Feeling like a zombie at work everyday due to lack of sleep

Food cravings: Nothing much apart from the odd chocolate craving which is very unusual for me

Miss anything? A full wardrobe of things to wear!

Movement: Lots!

Anything making you queasy or sick: Not really

Gender: It's a secret :)

Labour signs: Nope

Symptoms: Lots of kicks and weird shuffle feelings in bump. Definitely looking a lot more veiny too :(

Belly button in or out? Still in

Happy or moody most of the time? Happy but do have my moments of feeling a little fed up!

Looking forward to: Being able to sort the nursery when we move

Pregnancy OOTD 12th Feb

Top, Forever 21. Necklace, Forever 21. Jeans, Topshop Maternity. Boots, Debenhams.

Had a nightmare trying to find something to wear for work this morning. I appear to have grown in the past couple days and nothing fits right. It's now when I wish I had all the money in the world to revamp my maternity wardrobe!

Will probably have to have a look on eBay for a jacket too. I assumed by the time I got too big to do up my current jacket it would be warmer, but it's definitely not!! I have seen this coat though which is oversized (it's a good thing that's in just now!)...

Maybe after payday!

Pregnancy OOTD 11th Feb

Top, Zara. Leggings, Topshop Maternity. Necklace, New Look. Bag, Sample Sale at work!

I like my Zara top because it hides bump quite well from the front so is good for work. I picked it up in the Zara sale for £9.99 the other week, happy days!

I don't know why I look so hunched in the side photo!! I was rushing to get photo taken before I went to consultant appointment and work haha.

Week 31 Pregnancy Update

How far along? 31 weeks

Maternity clothes? Nothing new this week, waiting for payday...impatiently!

Stretch marks? Still no, feel like I need to step up the buttering, oiling and moisturising though

Sleep: Still really bad. Very uncomfortable and have a cold which isn't the best mix!

Best moment this week: Weirdly...waking up and seeing the cat snuggled up next to me watching bump kicking about with a look of shock on her face haha

Worst Moment This Week: This cold!! And missing the husband as he's away in Portsmouth on his officer's course

Food cravings: Not really, still going for sweet things which isn't me at all

Miss anything? Back to missing wine again

Movement: Lots

Anything making you queasy or sick: Smell of cat food!

Gender: It's a secret :)

Labour signs: Nope

Symptoms: Still lots of movement. More squirmy and shuffley now. Do still get the odd jab though, usually in the ribs or right down in my hips. Walking is definitely more of a challenge and getting stitches in my bump which is sore. Actually starting to get back pain now too. Got to love the 3rd trimester!

Belly button in or out? Still in

Happy or moody most of the time? Happy but having flashes of anger now

Looking forward to: Feeling more organised and in control. Don't feel I have enough time at the moment to sort everything

Bump:

Pregnancy OOTD 6th Feb

Jumper, Forever 21. Leggings, Blossom Mother and Child. Boots, Topshop. Necklace, Forever 21.

I got this jumper the other night when I managed to pop to Oxford Street (my office used to be right round the corner but it's moved a 20 min walk away now!). I love the way the hem goes diagonally. Got a few comments at work about it today.

3D/4D Pregnancy Scan

We were a bit reluctant to go for a 3D/4D scan because we'd seen some awful examples of people's babies looking like scary aliens and weren't sure if we'd be up for that! We debated it for a few weeks and then decided if we could find one that was a decent price (not an easy feat in Central London) then we'd go for it. We kind of thought it would be pretty amazing to show Baby K in years to come them moving around in my tummy. And If it turned out to be horrible, we just wouldn't tell anyone we ever went haha!

We found a good price at Peek-A-Baby in Mitcham, South London, and booked an appointment on Monday evening. It meant driving for about an hour (we're in North London) but to be honest we weren't prepared to pay £150-£220 to go to a clinic in Harley Street. I went there for an early pregnancy scan and wasn't impressed with the clinic I went to's standards.

When we got to Peek-A-Baby we were greeted by a lovely man who was manning the reception area, which was just a room at the front. Then a girl came through and said she'd be looking after us and took us through to the scanning room. The sonographer was really nice and funny too. She chatted away and asked if we wanted to confirm the sex of the baby etc....

Pregnancy OOTD 5th Feb

Vest, Mothercare. White Shrug, Primark. Leggings, Topshop Maternity. Boots, USC. Bag, Sample Sale at work!

I got a 2 pack of vests from Mothercare for £12 last weekend - one Black, one White. My normal vests were beginning to not cover my bump anymore!! These ones have the ruched sides that are really flattering for bump.

Bought the fluffy White shrug from Primark for a Great Gatsby party but it's actually really cute for day to day wear too.

The Topshop ponte leggings are great. The have a really supportive band that lifts up your bump.
