Pregnancy Pampering

I got it in my head quite early on in my pregnancy (after being advised by a few people) that I'd want to book a hair and nails appointment quite close to my due date so that I'd feel a bit pampered and less self conscious giving birth. I think it's purely a psychological thing with me to be honest! I think if your hair and nails are looking good, you feel a bit more ready to face what the world throws at you haha.

Only problem was with having moved to the area just two and a bit weeks ago, I had no idea where to go! Unfortunately I picked a bad salon to begin with for my hair and ended up having to rebook in at a much better salon where I'd decided to get my nails done anyway. So it ended up costing a bit more than I wanted but the place I went to in the end was fab.

I got my hair cut and coloured to a blonde a bit darker than my natural blonde colour - fancied a change! ...

And got a beautiful shellac Rose coloured Pink put on my nails...

Once I got back to the house I decided to carry on the pamper theme and have a bath and give myself a pedicure.

I used the lovely Sanctuary mum to be gift set and Molton Brown gift set I got from some of my fab friends at my baby shower :)

Bump loved it!

Are there any pregnancy pamper products you use in particular? Have you thought about of pre-labour beauty treatments?

  1. Loving your blog! What's your due date?
Mine is Friday - I had a pedicure and facial last weekend - very relaxing! I'm very impressed you were able to give yourself a pedicure - I haven't been able to reach my toes properly for a while!

I wrote about some of my fave pregnancy beauty products here (and there's a separate post about a mum-to-be treatment at Center Parcs - that was lush!)
