Weekly Round Up #1

Here's a cheeky round up of what we go up to this week! I love the idea of the new happy days weekly linky over on Tinyfootsteps and What Katy Said's blogs so thought I'd write something I could add to the linky...

Monday:

Isla and I went to her swimming lesson in the morning and had a fab time. We bumped into a girl we'd met at a baby group a couple months ago but hadn't seen since which was lovely. It's scary how quickly our babies are growing up.

Tuesday:

We went to a soft play place with some lovely friends and the babies had the best time! There was a sensory area which was fab, a ball pit and lots of different toys to keep the little ones entertained. Of course, afterwards we simply had to have a coffee and a cake. We chose a Bounty flavoured one which was AMAZING!

In the afternoon we went to Baby PEEP which is run by one of the local Sure Start centres round here. They do lots of singing, messy play, story time and a little talk on a certain topic each week. It's an hour long and runs for 10 weeks so hopefully that'll be enough time to get to know some more mummies and babies...

Wednesday:

It was a friend's birthday so we went to another friend's house with the babies to catch up and have a little bit of prosecco which was really nice!

Thursday:

Isla and I headed up to London to attend Baby Bjorn's launch of their new We carrier. It was so much fun. We met some lovely people and tried out lots of different products. My fave was definitely the PR prop of the adult bouncer. That needs to go into production asap!! We are now reviewing the new We carrier so keep your eyes peeled for that later in the month.

We then went and saw our beautiful antenatal girls and babies and had a lovely lunch and catch up at one of their houses. It is so special to see the babies, who were once all bumps together, growing up alongside each other. Too cute!

Friday:

Isla and I headed to Jess from Lilypod and Sweetpea's new gorgeous home in the countryside. It's literally stunning, you feel like you're at a holiday home in France! Jasper and Isla played together, we had a lovely afternoon tea and went for a walk round the lovely surroundings. Such a perfect afternoon!

Then the husband and I gorged on this feast of an italian take away...

Saturday:

One of my best friends, who lives in London, came down to visit us for the day. The husband was on duty at work so we had a proper girly day. Isla was in her element and loved all the attention. We went for lunch (and a drink) at La Tasca then wandered around Gunwharf Quays before going for a coffee and cake at Patisserie Valerie - yum yum. We had such a great day.

Next week:

Hoping to get to all the baby groups I usually go to (often miss out a couple here and there!) and want to invite some new friends over to the house. Haven't really done it yet...for no particular reason! I'd also like to get the spare room sorted. Need to buy some curtains and new bedding for it. Decided the military accommodation standard magnolia decoration just wouldn't cut it!

I also want to get my Wordpress site set up. I've been trying to transfer over for weeks but I'm just not happy with the lay out at the moment.

What did you all get up to? I love hearing about everyone's weeks!

  2. Wow! You are so good at getting out an about!! How do you get anything done in the house? Although I am thinking the less time I could spend in my house the less mess G could make.... hmm.. I will have to try it!

    1. I just get so bored at home by myself! Always have done. I think just moving here before I had Isla has inspired (forced) me to get out an about a lot and not be an isolated, lonely recluse! Haha I'm very OCD so the house always gets tidied at night before bed and cleaned on specific days #weirdo. Still working on my blaaady wordpress theme!! Will get there one day! Thanks for hosting, great linky :) xx
