Weekend Baby Style #6

Black Top, H&M | Tartan Dungarees, George @ Asda | Tights, Primark | Moccasins, Fawn & Finch | Headband, What In Lilly's Clothes

Isla has gone back to her roots and is wearing tartan today! She got this gorgeous little dungaree shorts set from one of my best friends, her godmother. I had it hanging up in her wardrobe waiting for it to fit and then suddenly realised yesterday that it would. I'm so glad I remembered because I've missed out on so many little outfits by forgetting they are hiding at the back of the wardrobe.

I love the fact its dungaree shorts rather than a dress. So much more practical when she's tearing around causing chaos at baby groups.

We popped a plain Black long sleeved top from H&M instead of the Cream jumper that came with it because the Cream didn't match her tights/shoes - boo. I like it with the Black top though, I think it breaks it up nicely.

As always, we have our fave moccs on! I promise more shoes will be being featured soon...probably just more colours of moccs to be perfectly honest...#moccaholic.

BabyBjörn Bloggers Brunch

We are always super excited when we get a cheeky email saying that the BabyBjörn crew are in town. They are such a lovely team from Sweden who make us feel like old friends!

This time they hosted a Bloggers Brunch at The Charlotte Street Hotel in Central London. I never need an excuse to pop up to London for the day and The Charlotte Street Hotel is just beautiful. It reminded me of a Parisian boutique hotel from the outside, with its gorgeous mint exterior and striped sun canopies...

We had a really nice brunch of fruit and pastries with lots of fresh juice, coffee, tea etc. Isla devoured a danish pastry and numerous pieces of fruit.

Speaking of Isla, she was rather...mobile during the brunch. She just couldn't sit still! Which I shouldn't be surprised about, but she kept trying to escape (see bottom left photo). She also very much loved the men in the group - if this continues to teenage hood, I may start to worry.

It was so good to meet the lovely Laura from Mummy's Zone, Michelle from What Mummy Thinks, Dave from The DADventurer and Jim from One Dad One Blog. We always love meeting fellow bloggers and putting faces to the great blogs we read and follow.

There was a lot of bloggy chat going on and BabyBjörn were happy to tell us about all the exciting things that are coming up for them. They really do offer such an innovative range of products that make the parenting journey easier. If you haven't checked them out already, you definitely should!

Thank you again BabyBjörn for having us, we look forward to continuing to work with you!

A Weekend Vlog

We had quite a lot going on during the week this week so didn't manage to vlog that much. I did bits and pieces here and there but it wouldn't have amounted to a proper video so decided to just focus on the weekend instead.

Hope you enjoy. Thanks for watching!

Happy Days #2

We had a few playdates this week with friends - on Tuesday and Thursday - and we
managed along to two baby groups as well.

Isla had her first swimming lesson in five weeks after the Christmas break and having various appointments the past couple Mondays. She was a bit unsure at first but soon got back into the swing of it. We also had a swimming baby date with friends on Friday as well which was nice. Although someone was sick in the children's pool so we had to vacate and go to the (colder) big pool for a while. Nice!

Isla had nursery on Tuesday, which went better than last week. She settled in the afternoon and was much happier with everything. Here's hoping this week is even better. She also went into the creche at Forces Family Club on Friday so I could go to the gym with some friends. It felt good to get a bit of exercise done. I'm just not finding the time anymore. Nightmare!

At the weekend we had a lovely walk down the beach which was a bit breezy but refreshing!

Weekend Baby Style #5

Shirt, H&M | Top, H&M | Leggings, Zara | Moccasins, Hux Baby

This is Isla's outfit that she is rocking today. We popped off to a Forces Family Club and she went into the creche so I could go to the gym for a bit. Unfortunately, she's at the clingy stage just now so she spent nearly the whole hour and a half crying, but at least she looked good...poor child!

Tested Tuesday: Oxo Tot Snack Cup*

Oxo are a well known brand but a brand that I had always thought were confined to ranges such as baking and cooking. I didn't realise, until I had Isla, what a fab children's range they offer. Thank goodness I know now!

We were sent an Flippy Snack Cup with Travel Cover. from the lovely people at Oxo Tot to review. I chose the Green as I thought it was a lovely, vibrant, fun colour.

The design of the cup is functional and very sleek and stylish for a bit of baby kit. The edges are all curved and smooth which gives it a nice shape. The flaps on the top are soft and allow little baby hands in with no problems. The handle is non slip and can attach onto buggies as well. So handy! The travel cover is clear and clips onto the top very easily...

Weekly Vlog Is Up

Last week was up and down to say the least. I managed to get a vile vomiting bug on the Friday (cue a very ugly 30 second clip of me in bed haha) and little Miss I managed to get (from one day at nursery)...
- conjunctivitis
- V&D bug
- a cold
- a reappearance of the horrible chesty cough

Yes. I had to bullet point them, there were so many. THANKS NURSERY!!!

Anyway, apart from that we had fun at one of Isla's boyfriend's 1st birthday party, watched Isla try to walk with her new walker, went to a few baby groups and scooted through to London for the day on Sunday.

Apologies, I had serious camera issues (probably due to dropping my canon so much #oops) so there was a distinct lack of filming towards the end of the week.

Hope you enjoy and thanks for watching!! Please subscribe if you haven't already

Happy Days #1

Technically the Christening photo is from last Sunday but technically a week ago I guess! We had a fab time at a friend's baby's christening on board a Naval ship. Rob, of course, bumped into someone he knew! The reception back a local hotel was so lovely too.

We also had another friend's baby's 1st birthday party on Monday at a soft play place near us. The babies had a great time playing together whilst us parents chatted away and then had lunch. My friend had done little party bags which I was so excited about because it's the first party bag I've seen since I was a kid. So much fun!...

Baby Weekend Style #4

Welcome to the first week of the Weekend Baby Style link up where we are co-hosts helping out your lovely original host Hannah, from First Time Mummy.

We are super happy to be co-hosts to this great linky and we can't wait to see all your fab outfits on your little ones. We hope that, with time, this linky will grow and grow and that we can share lots of linky love across all our blogs. I genuinely feel it's one of the best parts of blogging - how friendly and supportive we all are of each other. If you think of a friend who might be interested in linking up with us then please feel free to pass on the deets!

Onto our fave outfit from this week. It was a hard choice this week because I had Isla rocking a few of my favourite bits and bobs in her wardrobe this week.

Beebies Baby Store Wish List

Here at The Knott Bump & Us HQ, we have been lucky enough to have been chosen to be YouTube ambassadors for the amazing independent online baby store that is Beebies Baby Store.

I've always been a huge fan of Beebies and have often spent far too much time on the website whiling away the hours creating wish lists from their extensive range of products. Much to my husband's dismay!

I thought I would share our latest wish list with you all.

Custom Made Teepee - I've been looking for the perfect teepee for Isla for a while now but haven't managed to find the right one. Beebies offers a custom made service where you can design your own. How fab is that?! I would love a Grey and White one.

Babyzen YoYo Stroller Review*

From the moment I laid eyes on the Babyzen YoYo I knew it was a match made in pushchair heaven. We travel a lot and as much as I love my travel system, I needed to explore a more compact, easier to transport option. I believe stroller is the term that Babyzen use to describe their products so we'll go with that!

First of all, a little bit about Babyzen's history. Babyzen was founded when 5 French individuals (men interestingly) decided they were sick of impractical, bulky and poor looking strollers. They wanted to start afresh and to come up with a stroller that hadn't been seen before on the market.

This led them to create the Babyzen YoYo. We tested the version that is suitable from 6 months +. There is a 0 months + version, that comes on the 6 months + base which is great value for money.

Back on the Weekly Vlogs!!

During December we attempted Vlogmas and gave it a pretty good go with trying to post every day! Now that the New Year has begun, we are back to doing weekly vlogs again. We had such lovely feedback in 2014 when we started doing these and we love making memories for Isla to look back on when she's older so I'm excited to carry these on.

Hope you all enjoy watching and, if you haven't already, we would love you to subscribe!

Lots of love,

We Love Beebies! Ambassador Announcement

We have something very exciting to announce at The Knott Bump & Us HQ today. We have been chosen to be the official YouTube ambassador for the fab online independent retailer, Beebies Baby Store.

I have always loved Beebies Baby Store and Ami, who owns it, is such a lovely person who I've always enjoyed having a twitter conversation with! When she got in touch to ask if we would be interested in being the YouTube ambassador I couldn't have been more excited. She asked us just before Christmas and it genuinely felt like I had gotten an amazing early a Christmas present!

We only work with brands that we feel are a great fit with the blog and that we feel would be of great interest to our readers. Beebies Baby Store fits very comfortable into both of those categories and we are very confident that you will love the site as much as we do.

Weekend Baby Style #1

We love a baby style post and have been known to do lots of #BOTD posts of Isla's outfits on the blog. There's nothing I love more than shopping for Isla, browsing Instagram for outfit ideas and putting together little outfits for her that show off her personality.

The Weekend Baby Style linky up is a fab one for us to join up to because it's hosted by our lovely friend Hannah from First Time Mummy and we are actually joining in as co-hosts from next week onwards! Find out more about this soon.

So, for this week, my favourite outfit Isla wore was this rather fetching/unique get up...

Minene Baby Clothing*

We were sent a gorgeous little outfit from the really fun brand that is Minene. They offer a wide range of products and accessories for your little ones including clothing. You need to check out their nursery accessories too. We have a storage basket and it's beautiful!

This is the Minene top we were sent. The quality of the cotton was great. It felt so soft and lovely against the skin. We love a stripe in this house and the appliqué character with the floral material was really cute. The fit was great and having the bodysuit bottom with poppers was great to help keep the top in one place while Isla was playing.

HiPP Organic Baby Food Review*

We started Isla off on her weaning journey just before she was 6 months old. It probably would have been earlier but her highchair didn't arrive until she was 5.5 months old so we had to wait until there was somewhere for her to sit at the table!

I'm quite a relaxed parent when it comes to her meals and food. Isla is now almost 9 months old and her daily meals are roughly as follows:
- for breakfast she has porridge and fruit
- for lunch she has a lot of finger foods - organic puffs/rice cakes, sliced vegetables, cheese, toast, hummus - and then a savoury pureed meal or pasta or a sandwich followed by fruit for dessert
- for dinner, I tend to give her what we are having, if it is suitable. If not, she'll have something that I've made earlier or a pouch of baby food

I do usually try to make as much of her food as possible but I love a pouch or jar when we're out and about. They are much easier to carry around and the pouches are so easy to dispense and feed your baby from. Don't get me wrong, I do always have a few in the house as well for emergencies when I run out of food for her. Which has happened quite a lot over Christmas and New Year!

HiPP Organic are a brand that create good, healthy, nutritious food for babies and toddlers. They pride themselves on creating meals that babies will enjoy and that will help them grow and learn to love good food.

A Baby's New Year Resolutions

Isla has been reflecting back on the year that she entered the world and she would like me to share her New Year's resolutions with you. Of course, I had no influence over these whatsoever...(haha)

Please please please please!

And finally. The most important (and only serious!) one...

Goodbye 2014...Hello 2015!

So today is the first day of 2015 and 2014 is quickly becoming a memory. How do we all feel about New Years resolutions? I like the idea of them but I get a bit bored of people always having the same ones year after year and then giving them up 7 days into the New Year!
Here are the New Years resolution I am going to try and stick to this year:

- Finally get my new WordPress site up and running
- Try to grow my hair longer. But seriously this time. Lots of hair masks, deep conditioning, trims and by eating lots of protein
- Get. More. Sleep. A bit of a hilarious one considering the age of my child but I really need to start going to bed earlier
- Get organised and book a couple city breaks and a holiday. Can't believe we didn't get to go abroad this year and I intend to make up for it this year (dolla-dolla-bill-dependant)
- Become a super duper penny master. This is the term Rob and I give to sorting our finances out. Penny master is so much more exciting than 'budget controller' or something equally as boring. I'd like to get us saving more and to be more aware of where our pennies are going each month
- Share the blogging love. I need to get better at commenting on other people's blogs and vlogs that I love. I read so many other people's posts but often forget to let them know how much I've enjoyed them. Shame on me!
- Oh and very cliched but...LOSE THE MUM TUM!!!

Will I manage it all? Here's hoping! Would love to hear your New Years resolutions.
